  • DIY Foldable Golf Enclosure with EMTS?

Hi! I’m making a complete DIY golf enclosure because i am on a budget. The only criteria of this enclosure is that is must be very safe (i’m going with carls premium screen and i’ve got some very good black PVC curtains for the sides) and it must be able to be folded and put away pretty easily. i’m using EMT pipes for the enclosure. I’ve looked into different connectors that look like they can fold but i’m still a little confused about it. Can anyone explain to me what I need to get and do (like how to cut it, the connectors, etc) in order to have a foldable golf enclosure with EMT pipes? (The enclosure is going to be 8ft high x8ft wide x5ft deep if that’s important)

I'm interested in doing something similar. Sounds like the DIY nature of your folding enclosure means you'll need to solve the engineering problems yourself. Will you post some more info on the folding connectors you've found?

I was thinking it might be done by using Anndason Heavy Duty Hinged Elbow Connector Curtain Rod Corner and folding the sides inwards but I'm not sure.

I’m currently doing the same thing in my garage. I’m using aluminum snap on hinges that fit the EMT perfectly. Basically, I’m creating two doors that connect to the main structure with the impact screen that will be able to open and make the sides of my enclosure.

i need to get my enclosure out of the way for my cars,I built a hinged frame to go around my retractable impact screen, it has the ceiling and side nets on it, works real good, not real aesthetic but it is a work garage,it swings up out of the way

when it hinges up I hook it to the projector cage,I also have retractable sides coming 48”, should work good,it will get a lot of use in ND winters, when i put it up i just throw the side nets up on top net and it’s all out of the way
