I bought a 9x10 enclosure early this year. The first one they sent ended up having a tear in the Velcro system along the side enclosure where it meets the screen which ended up allowing shanks to go through. The good news is they sent me a new enclosure. The bad news is the new enclosure is even worse. It hasn’t torn, but the material is much, much flimsier and balls go through the part where the right side and the screen meet, right through the Velcro.
I have their foam inserts that help “protect” the bar. But the Velcro that connects the side enclosure with the screen just isn’t working for shanks to the right. (And yes, I have been shanking shots as I’ve been trying to retool my entire swing…trying to shallow my swing and having the inevitable shanks while I try to rotate my body to square the club).
The pics below are where the Velcro strips are. But basically shots that go there are much more often than not just going straight through where those seams meet and the balls are hitting the wall behind it. Or they are missing the foam insert and ricocheting back hard. I broke a garage window tonight on a ricochet. I can’t believe this is normal. Shouldn’t every single ball hit into the enclosure stay in the enclosure?
the question is did I somehow install it wrong? Or does carls have a better way to protect the corner? The foam insert in the corner clearly doesn’t work.
