Vinyl Faced Polyester material anyone?

I've been looking for wide rolls of heavy Polyester to use as a screen and impact but hard to find anything over 60"
found fee companies that have Vinyl faced Polyester for banners and wondered if anyone has tried and if so for you face the vinyl side or Polyester side towards you?

I have not heard of anyone doing this but I would think that a ball travelling at decent speed would just blow right through this type of screen. Minimal give of the material plus generally weak material does not seem to be a recipe for success. Let us know if it works though. As an aside, if I were looking for the material I would try a furniture upholstery store if you can find one.
