Screen setback minimums?

I am planning a simulator room that has some limitations. I’m planning on using a Carl’s Place Premium screen that would be installed in a space 13’10” wide and 9’61/2” high. What complicates the install is a wall that would extend from the right side (parallel to the screen) for 42 3/4” and be only 9 1/2” from the screen. The remaining screen is over 3 1/2’ from the screen, and I don’t expect many balls to touch the screen that far right. If it does, I would think the ball would be deflected to the right.

Placement in this location would allow us to tie into a ceiling truss, plus give us a little more depth to a room that is barely deep enough. I’m planning on the Benq LK936st projector and the Uneekor EYE XO launch monitor. Thanks for your input!!!

I feel you really need 12" behind the enclosure unless you have really slow ball speeds. I had 9" behind mine initially (lower part of screen). The concrete in my garage sticks out about 3"-4" at ground level up about 15-20" high and anything over 135mph - mainly 4-5 irons occasionally would push the screen back into the concrete and the ball came back very fast. I did put a heavy comforter in behind the screen and that helped. In the end, I moved the enclosure away from the wall more than 12". I had PTSD from some of the shots that came back. Luckily, I had room to do this.
