Minimum distance to wall from screen

I'm planning to use cory's screen with wcn archery netting directly behind the screen. All will be attached to slotted angle with a 8x12 screen. I was planning 1ft, but would like less if possible.

What have you guys done?

I have Cory's screen backed by netting plus 3 inch memory foam suspended between the screen and the wall. The screen is 8 inches from the wall.

What netting are you using and how did you hang memory foam? I could sure use 4 more inches.....haha That sounded funny.

Any pics? How far back is the foam or is it attached to the wall?

Net is just netting from golf town. Foam is half way. I don't know why the pic is upside down. I took two 2x4 and sandwiched the foam between and hung it from the ceiling.

goodmatt78 I have Cory's screen backed by a net... No foam. This allows me to work well with only 7 inches. 😜

I ordered Cory's HQ raw and archery netting from WCN. The archery netting is pretty heavy and Preston from WCN said it placed behind the screen sharpens the image quality. With the extra weight of the archery netting, I hope 8inches will work. Since my room is only 14ft deep, I need all the space I can get.
