Well it is usable, but I still need to tie up tons of loose ends and rip up the carpet and put down my putting turf (on hand). I am ecstatic on how it turned out so far after a week and a half. I mounted the screen with slotted angle 8 inches from the back wall. I have WCN archery netting directly behind the HQ2 screen from Cory. For the screen trim (which turned out awesome), I used marine vinyl from Joanne's and cut to size for top and sides, then I used trunk liner carpet to wrap the vinyl. The vinyl had enough substance to hold the shape and allow very clean edges when folding the carpet around it. I used 3m spray adhesive and then sewed the edges after the carpet was cut to size and wrapped to the vinyl with basting tape. The great thing is that the carpet sticks directly to the hook side of velcro. I sewed loop side of velcro to the screen edge and then made double sided hook (one adhesive piece of hook stuck to a non-adhesive hook).

Try them now.....I re-uploaded.
Tonight I will run a direct tv box to my wall mounted TV and hide all the cables. I want to hit for a bit to see where I want the final locations of my hitting mats (CCE) when I put down the putting turf. I plan to sink the mats into the turf and use carpet shims to help with the transition.
I also spent a lot of time thinking about wall and ceiling protection, but after hitting some balls I don't think it is necessary....even with wedges.

I got the vinyl for 50% off at Joanne using a coupon (~$10/yard) and I bought the carpet here ($5/yard): http://upholsterysupplyonline.com/pr...4%22-Wide.html
This pic is kinda hard to see what is going on, but the bottom edge is folded over and held in place with basting tape until I sew it. You can see how clean the edge is. The top is not yet folded over and is unfinished.

Trim looks great. Wish i had a room inside vs garage.
That is until you let you friends play!!

Yeah, I envy those with rooms with tall enough ceilings. I have a big basement that is wasted because of the low ceiling, makes me sad inside. Don't think I haven't thought about convincing the wife to buy a new house for a sim room vs garage

Ceiling is 9 feet. I swung all night with the driver without issue...then I hit the ceiling. :-(

Very nice setup! How do you have WGT full screen. I see you have the iPad connected to HDMI cable. That's how I do it. But it doesn't fill the screen. Are you zooming your projector in to fill the screen. Only issue I see if I did this is when I change back to TV or PC, then those inputs wouldn't be displaying correctly.
So wondering if you have any tips on what you did?

@Mike80....Yeah I struggled with the same issue. I even swapped out projectors (Optoma GT1080 to BenQ HT1085St) to try and get better results. In the end, I am displaying Native from my Ipad Air 2 and the BenQ doesn't stretch the image to fill the full 16:9 like it says in the manual. It stretches is some but there is still a lot of room left. Anyway, I mounted mine at around 13' to fill as much of my screen as possible with Skytrak App and WGT. However, if I run the netflix app which displays 16:9 content, the image runs well onto both walls. If I change my projector to 4:3, then I can watch Netflix movies on my screen, but in 16:9 it is way too wide of an image for my set-up. I know if I upgrade to a PC and TGC, I will most likely need to relocate my projector.
BTW...there is no comparison in the image between the BenQ and Optoma. BenQ wins by a landslide.

Ok. That's what I was wondering. Yeah, once TGC comes out you will have to align your projector to fit that full screen. They your WGT will be like mine which doesn't fill the screen. But I'm not too worried because I'm waiting for TGC. A tip someone mentioned that's good to know is, while in the Skytrak PC Beta software, if you click Alt Enter it will fill the screen. So that makes the driving range much better with filling the screen!
