Bed Flat Sheet as temporary Impact Screen?

Don't use the pvc poles on the sides or bottom. Use tarp clips with adjustable bungees on the sides and get it just tight enough to remove most of the wrinkles. You will see a huge improvement there. The problem with the pvc poles on the sides is that the straps arent straight across from each other and don't pull equally on the sides and if i remember correctly, there's only like 3 straps per side.

Not to hijack the thread, but for the posters above who are using the supertex screen, what kind of tips do you have for getting it to sit a little flatter? I have the 9x9 supertex with all the straps pulled pretty tight except for the bottom two. The bottom of the screen is just hanging free right now. I have a 1-inch PVC pipe in the bottom sleeve. It's not terrible, but still have a couple "waves" in my image.

I have heard of people filling that pipe with sand to create a little more weight. I might try that. I have also heard of not using any side tension at all and only using the top straps. I may try that as well.

Any other tips? Much appreciated.

And you're saying to not use the pre-cut holes for the bunjees but just use clips instead? (and not use the holes)

I did not notice the straps being unequal distance. I can measure them tonight and report back. That sounds like it could be a possible culprit though if indeed true.

I would think using some PVC on the bottom would help pull the screen down (especially if there was a little weight added to the PVC).

I'm using a 10x10 frame for the 9x9 screen, so I'm allowing myself 6 inches of space on each side. Is that possibly not enough space?

Correct, ditch the straps. It's ok to use them to hang it if you want, but not on the sides.

Do not use the precut holes, just use the tarp clips to grab the screen.

The sleeve pockets are not symmetrical and neither are the holes.

Not really needed on the bottom, and if you/guest hit it, it's going to shatter. Better off using a hose filled with sand or maybe even just a heavy gauge garden hose not filled with anything. You can also use bungee cord and string it through the bottom to keep it tight if you want, but then you may have balls sneek underneath. I let excess hang on the floor to prevent that.

Thanks for the info. Now that I think about it, you're right about the sleeves not being symmetrical because each side has one end sewn shut with a good inch or two of space between the end of the pipe and the edge of the material. My right side has the top end sewn shut and on the left side it's the bottom end that's sewn shut. So that's probably skewing things. Didn't think about that but it makes sense now that I do.

I'm going to look into some tarp clips and bunjees.

One day I'll upgrade to a higher quality screen but want to make the most out of what I have right now. Thanks again for the help!
