I am looking to build a simulator/theater room and am interested in using a curved screen. I've seen the designs that HDGolf uses but uncertain if they sell the screens separately. Does anyone have any advise on where I could get an impact screen that can handle real golf balls. Has anyone had any luck building one?

Not sure about the curved screen, but you could have three screens. One in the middle and the left and right screen slightly angled in. You would then need three projectors each displaying an image on each screen. You would need a video card to handle three video outputs and have all screens setup as extended monitors. This would be awesome and give you the effect of 180 degrees instead of a flat square screen in front of you. Definitely would want to test and verify the sim software renders well with three video outs using extended desktop. Keep us posted if you go down this route!
Here's an example of a three screen setup. It looks pretty cool!

I looked into the curved screen and it was a major undertaking.
Would have been at least 5k for the frame. Would have to be custom built by some company in Europe
It would require 3 pj's that are blended which requires a special video card...blah blah blah.
If you want the headache and have 10k to blow I'd love to see it.
I had the dough just not the desire because I know unless it was professionally done it would never be 100% right. That would make me angry.
I am going with a 16 ft wide screen instead
