Surround Sound

I have been working on my sim room for quite awhile. Rooms is ready and I'm working on installing my speakers for surround sound.

Any suggestions on settings or anything that could help me run from pc to receiver and make this work? Struggling badly.

As soon I get them working my net and impact screen are next.

I run my computer to the receiver using HDMI and then my receiver output goes to the projector.

You can also feed other sources (Xbox, DVD player, etc) into the receiver and view them on the projector just by changing the source button on the receiver.

I went for the SONOS speaker, wireless works fine.

I have a full Bose system running off Bluetooth in my sim. Sounds great.

I have a pioneer elite receiver, Polk audio LSI 15's, Polk audio 900LS, and Polk audio DSW 3000 sub. This is not really for golf but home theater. Like Bama, I have all devices going through the receiver.... Xbox one, computer, Blu-ray and then to the projector.

You cannot get true surround from the headphone jack. Only stereo from the headphone jack. You need either a digital out, like an optical out from your sound card, or HDMI as stated above.

Good point boerdoc. If Mike is after legit surround sound... 5.0 or better, the choices are a little more limited.

mike, Use the HDMI from your video card to go into your receiver. 5.1 or 7.1 is what you are looking for. 7.1 for larger rooms. I have 7.1 which is not really needed for golf but it is awesome for Xbox and movies. I left TGC running one time at a fairly loud volume( music at 0 ) I had the projector shut off.... my wife thought that we had a bird in the house.

how do you guys protect your speakers? or do you just have them behind the screen?

My home theatre wall unit is 2 feet behind the screen.
