I'm building a 12x16 "shed" in my yard to be my simulator room, I've decided I'm going to use a durable-pro 10x10x10 netting and cut the poles down to 5' depth instead of 10 so I'm not swinging inside the enclosure itself. What size 4:3 screen should I get to put inside this thing? Should I go with 120x120? Or the recommended 90x120 from 6.8 feet with the optima gt1080? I don't like the look of extra screen not having the picture filled in when playing the sim. And it doesn't look like the optima can go bigger height wise with a 120" width.... Unless I'm confused which is very possible lol... Anyone use this screen enclosure and if so what screen size did you go with?

It's not about the Optima. It's about the aspect ratio. 120x90 is the 4:3 aspect ratio you are targeting. The screen can get bigger or smaller depending on the optical zoom level (if the Optima has that) and distance from the screen. But when the screen gets bigger or smaller, it will maintain that 4:3 aspect ratio (e.g. 160x120, 80x60, etc). When I set mine up, different projector, 16:9 aspect ratio, I calibrated the distance on the width I wanted on the image since that's the longest dimension. Then you can box the image in along the top however you like. I used a sloped ceiling.
