Beware of tarps, outdoors, on roof in storm. I only had a sail shade on top of cage (coz SkyTrak don't like bright sun) and wind blew it like a parachute. And my cage is made of 1 1/4 inch steel tubes that have 1/20 inch thick steel wall (and they got bent) and whole cage weighs almost 100 pounds.

check out my build out this might help on the rebuild of your cage, if your repairing you might need to secure the top.

Can you please show me where is your build-out. Would love to see it.

As for rebuilt, will tie top of each corner of cage down + ditch the sail shade and just clip it on when in use and remove when not in use esp during a storm.

if you are repairing leave alone if you are going to a more stout structure then my set up would be a little stronger to help with the wind shear
