  • Bunching with Supetex hanging screen help

Got supertex 120 x 108 impact screen. The fabric seems durable and I purchased the ceiling hanging model. So I have a 3/4 10 foot pipe that it hangs from, and another one going through the base, which is sitting on the ground. I think the screen was a little longer than 9 feet, so I have a few extra inches. The problem is that it bunches after pretty much every hit. I don't have any poles on the sides and in the past used grommets, which are not preferred by the people who sell this screen. Any ideas on how I could get this screen to be more taut. There is a net and another impact screen with grommets behind it, but if anyone has ideas on how to stop the constant bunching, it would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same exact screen and setup. I use tarp clips (Lowes) with small bungee-type cords (Lowes too I think) attached to eye hooks on the wall. I have one attached to every corner of my picture viewing area when I'm watching movies/sports and just the top two when hitting balls.

I ordered a 2" nylon tube off ebay sewed one end together and filled it with sand then tied off other end, then I put it in the pocket on the bottom of my screen it seems to help a lot.

Thank you both, I ordered tarp clips and think I will use them to tie to eye hooks on the wall, but the 2" nylon tube sounds pretty good as well!

You could use pvc filled with sand as well anything that would add some weight to the bottom. Tarp clips would probably still be the best since it will give you some tension on the sides.

Does anyone know if there are clamps that could secure the pvc pipe to the screen at the bottom. Kind of like circular clamps so the bottom wouldn't really ever move?

            Thanks in advance!
