Haven't got to lighting just yet. Just about finished up with rough framing this weekend. Have one more wall to build and the soffits but it's moving along nicely. Farming down the ceiling was a real pita, walls were much quicker and was excited to be only 1/8 inch off square acros the whole room. Not too bad for a first timer! I'm worried about sound from the theatre use so I am going to use a double wall on those not butting up to the foundation. Coupled with double dry wall, insulation and green glue I think it will be fairly noise contained; as good as it will get anyhow without nuclear with resilient clips, hat channel, etc. The guys over at the soundproofing company were very helpful in understanding what was really possible and various tactics. I eliminated one large half wall and made it floor to ceiling which should also help. Wasn't able to upload pics from my iPad, I'll try again tomorrow from the pc. I framed for two screens and wired for two projectors just in case. There is a 14 inch space in the framing of the closets on either side of the sim screen to allow for a motorized theatre screen and curtains to cover the impact screen. Should be pretty cool if it all comes out of my head and into reality properly.
