  • Which material for my front screen?

    Hello guys,
I ve got a good backscreen for the impact zone. Low noise and the balls are falling perfectly down after a strong hit.
My front screen is extremely flexible and shows a good picture from the projector.
Now i ve got a hole in the screen and the screen is very expensive.
Now i m looking for a cheap alternative.
Perhaps anyone knows a good material which is flexible and i could use as frontscreen.
    Best regards
    Philip

the supertex is a good option its not the best or the most expensive but is durable has a good image and is budget friendly, for a 12'x10' screen its 150.00 and I actually put it over my damaged hq screen

If i install the supertex in the front, my super low noise backscreen is useless or not? I must be low noise ;-)

its a cloth mesh screen if that helps, I do not know how to explain it any better then that, but I feel that my club-ball contact is louder then the ball-screen contact by far one thing that I do like about this screen is the rub out factor I usually put 30+ balls into the screen and when I go pick them up I quickly rub out the screen it has a lot of memory to it and goes flat and I have been successful on keeping it with out ball impacts for the last 6 months

          I dont understand you.
In my opinion its not good to rub out the screen after 30 shots. Its annoying

it gives me something to do when I am up there and I use this screen for a lot more then a sim I need to make that I keep it flat and if I ignore it and just keeping hitting balls at it if something changes I want to adjust and fix it. before it grows, its just what I do for my comfort level I guess

You used to have the par2pro HQ screen? How do they compare in this regard?

Yes I still have the HQ screen and its on the worn side to say the least but it took a lot of abuse over the time I used it and held up really well over the year and a half. On the sound they are comparable in ball to screen impact. The video quality is a little better for the HQ but not by much I do not base the HD off the sim but off movies and PS4 more so. the biggest reason for the switch was pricing and knowing that the replacement value was a 3 to 1 ratio, I do not like the supertex pvc layout and opted to my own method of 1 inch conduit and tarp clips which I feel gives a lot better screen lay out. I do have one issue so far with the supertex and have reached out to the manufacturer for a warranty issue is I have what I would call nylon runs 3 of them in the same area about 1 to 2 inches in length running vertically I am about a month from the warranty of six months but I thought it was one year though and now I am after them for a response on this with emails, I will be calling on Monday to press issue.

How about the issue of balls leaving indentations? How do they compare on that? I'm asking from the point of view of movies since i use my screen for both.

I honestly have no ball dents at all

Do you runs look like this? I contacted them immediately after receiving mine for an exchange.
