    Screen size

    Hi,

Is it correct that the width of the space you have available determines screen height? I.e. It seems almost every example I have seen shows a 4:3 (or 16:9?) width vs height ratio of the screen and hardly any 1:1 screens, is that correct and why is that the case?

    thanks

4:3 and 16:9 are the resolutions that projectors output. There is no such thing as a 1:1 projector.
I made my screen as big as it could be in the area I had available, and then masked off the extra height in order to have a 4:3 setup - ensuring I had no empty white space.

If you have 12+ feet of width to setup your screen, get 16/9. If not, get 4:3.

        Hi,

That means 4:3 for my garage setup. Thanks for the advice.
