I am looking for suggestions on how to resolve this issue.
I just recently bought a SkyTrak, Net Return Pro, and Net Return golf mat from a fellow member. I plan to later replace the mat with a CCE -- but am using this mat for now.
I have this setup in my basement movie theater as a pop-up and pop-down setup. The room is carpeted with high quality carpet (laid over concrete). I find on full shots (and the longer club -- the bigger the issue) that the mat is sliding as I swing (about an 1" or so per full swing). After 10 swings or so -- I have to adjust the mat to square it up again, etc.
I find that I am getting some really odd readings -- like 90 mph club speed and say the same (or less) ball speed. And full strikes being 10% or so short of outdoor carry distances. I think this may be the issue of the mat sliding since the SkyTrak is on the mat as well.
Has anyone come up with a solution that would help minimize or eliminate sliding -- but still allow me to take the mat out of the room and put it away on movie night or for the big game. The whole design of this setup is to allow me to break it down and remove it from the room.
I am thinking for something that I could stick on the bottom of the mat that might allow it to grip the carpet better.
