What would people be willing to pay for a manufactured product similar to truestrike? Just the hitting section. The piece they are selling for 340.

Cost to produce plus reasonable markup - I suggest USD150 would give a healthy margin and one I'd pay if I got at least two years out of it.

$150 sounds about right for a similar product. In my opinion, the key would be to have a strip that can just butt up to your existing mat. It would not need to be as elaborate as the TS. Really all you need is range mat quality turf with a way to secure it over a silicone gel insert. Basically, a step up from the DIY TS that is the subject of a separate post(s). Would be worth the $150 in my opinion if it is a high end product and the turf top replaceable for a modest cost ($35 to $50) after it wears out.
