  • How to stop mat from moving on carpet?

When I first finished my build I had a CCE but need to make a change due to "golfer's elbow". I took an old driving range mat I had and cut it up and inserted a homemade divot action. This is working great except the mat moves quiet a bit, especially on drives and woods. As the title suggests, my build is in a room in my house, and the room is carpeted. I don't notice the mat moving effecting my swing but I can tell by my Skytrack alignment that it moved. After one hole it will have moved as much as an inch or so. I believe the CCE didn't move because of the weight.

Do any of you have a clever idea on how to keep a light mat from moving when it's on a carpet?

    Thanks!

I bought an office chair mat (platic with little studs on the bottom) from Office Depot and attached it using double sided carpet tape to my mat to ensure my mat wouldn’t move. Works fine and doesn’t hurt carpet.

I bought one of those sticky under carpet pads on Amazon and it worked great. Was about $30 If I remember correctly. Was like 4x5 pad

It's the gorrilla grip under carpet pad 5x7 on Amazon. 23.99

Now that I remember, it was huge and I cut some for my doormat when I walk in my room also.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to give it some thought and try one or more of these this weekend. I'll let you know how it turns out.
