Wondering if Fiberbuilt does sales other than just around the holidays. I seen they had the 4x5 mat for 399 last year. I purchased a CCE mat from Costco and after hitting off it thinking I need to return it and Fiberbuilt looks like my best option.

Hey SlipperyPete If you liked hitting from the CCE mat, but just found it a bit too punishing, I found a very similar mat made by a Chinese company that is just a little less dense (hence a bit more forgiving) and to boot i think the cost is roughly half of the CCE... YGT-T35. Although shipping might be a factor.... worth checking out maybe. I got them to send me a sample strip.

Thanks Mike, do you know if it’s the same one as in this video? I seen this and searched for it but wasn’t sure so didn’t want to risk it. I’ll have to check on shipping too.

that review is how I learned of the T35's existence! I did a little digging, then emailed a company rep at Yantai, and to my surprise he got back to me... semi decent English, too, although it might be going through google translate lol. Anyway, he was super efficient and sent out my samples within a day! I'll post a pic of the mats side by side

Very informative, looks like the t35 is just a little less dense than the CCE but overall same type of mat. I talked with FiberBuilt today and they said a Masters sale would be a good idea but had no plans, also were looking at maybe a Father’s Day deal but nothing in the works there either, or wasn’t going to admit to it. They did offer me 10% off so I went ahead and ordered the 4x5 mat, sounds like it takes a couple weeks to get but will let you all know what I think vs the CCE.
