  • Putting Mat

I am looking a reasonable price indoor putting mat that can be setup with custom breaks. Anyone come cross a good product for this?

Do not order DW Quail company for putting greens. They are good for chipping mats not putting and they will be confrontational with you if you complain about their quality. Be wary of why they do not have reviews on their site.

You can also check out BirdieBall... I tried one out at a friend's, then told my wife that day what to "surprise" me with for my birthday

BirdieBall offers award-winning, patented products for fulfilling golf practice at home. From putting greens to golf training aids, we allow you to take golf away from the golf course.

I have a birdieball green, 4 x 14. For the price, I'm incredibly happy with it. I do not expect it to last 20 years but that's ok. I was originally going to incorporate it into my golf sim between my hitting mat and screen, but I don't think I am going to end up doing that for reasons that have nothing to do with the birdieball green. It would work fine for that purpose.

I bought the one labeled as 9-10 stimp green and I think it's faster than that but it's not a big deal. I use mine in my basement on top of low pile carpet and it works well. I didn't buy the package they sell to create breaks (I think they call them contour shims). They are basically small pieces you put under the green when you roll it out to create breaks.

Just curious, if you were to order again, would you get the package with the shims, or are you glad you didn't? I'm about to order mine and am wondering why pay more for little bits of styrofoam...

Sorry for my late reply here. I probably wouldn't buy the shims. They didn't seem worth the extra money to me. When I practice on my birdieball green I am mostly working on mechanics/setup, etc and not that worried about breaks. But that's me.
      Working...
