I've had my Net Return (pro.. big green version) for about 11 months now. I didn't really notice the fraying until a few weeks ago and wasn't smart enough to do anything about it in time. I have since manage to hit two balls through two different holes in the netting causing quite a bit of havoc to my garage wall and window.
My shots concentrate in two areas:
1. about a foot off the ground for my woods and long irons
2. about 4-5 feet off the ground for my short irons and wedges
I've only hit about 10-15000 balls into it so I'm surprised to see this fraying already. I typically wait until my golf ball is dull looking before I replace it.. or if I notice any significant scuff marks.
The good news is that I just called them up and they are sending me a replacement, no hassle. I've also ordered a couple of their net guardians to double up my netting in the two locations above.
Anyway, I'm just baffled as to how it wore out so quickly. I have decent swing speed (160ish for a solid driver) and use the multi-layer tour balls but still...
