  • Parking car on Turf between screen and Hitting mat

Working on a garage sim setup. Planning on still using garage for parking except when using sim. when parking car in garage I plan on front tires being on turf between impact screen and hitting mat. Do any of you do this now? Are there implications I should consider to not do this? appreciate any advice or comments. Thanks in advance.

I have the same type setup in my garage. I roll out turf on the concrete garage floor when using sim. Sometimes I roll it up and put it away but a lot of the time I just leave it rolled out and park a car on top of the turf. No big deal at all. Downside is dirt from tires getting onto turf which could then get on golf balls falling on the turf and then dirty up your impact screen. I vacuum my turf every month or so and don't worry about it much.

What do you use for the turf?

I do this all the time. In order to keep the tires from getting the mat extremely dirty I bought a small tarp from harbor freight for about 9.99 and just put if over the mat when parking the car. This also keeps any oil drips and/or water on the car from seeping into the mat..The mat is a CCE and is easily able to stand the tire pressure without distortion.
