  • Wrist Problems with DIY TrueStrike

I wanted to check in with the group and see if anyone had any suggestions. I built the DIY TrueStrike that was suggested. I've used it extensively for 7 months and it has held up very well. However, when using irons off the turf, I am getting some pretty significant wrist pain on impact. Has anyone else ran into this? Is there another turf/mat system you would suggest? Thanks for the input.

If you read the mat forums long enough the recurring theme for removing pain is to go with a Fiberbuilt mat or insert.

The only downsides Ive heard (which are minimal to me):
      - putting off the fibers can be awkward
      - you cannot use tomahawk tees (I use rubber tees that sit on top instead)

The normal tomahawk tee wouldn't work because of the height and how much it sinks into the mat, but I have another version which was taller and it works fine with fiberbuilt. Click image for larger version

I agree with wbond 100%. Fiberbuilt! I got tendinitis in my elbow with cce. My no reads have almost completely disappeared with fiberbuilt/ skytrak. Im still using the tomahawk tee but it sets lower. I could use a taller tee now.

Wbond where did you get that tee?

          Thanks

I don't remember. I tried looking through my amazon orders and my email and can't find the order. It's made by the same company who makes the tomahawk, i just wonder if they don't have this version anymore. I've probably had it at least two years. It's the neo from aerosparktees.
