  • Replacing tartan turf insert.

I want to replace my worn out tartan turf insert. I would prefer something easier on the body with mishits. Also something that rolls better for putting with a skytrak. The dimensions are 18" x 46.5". Any suggestions. I don't mind having to do some modifications. I've thought about just cutting out a small hitting section, but worried putting might not work well. Not too worried about budget.

I also have a Tartan Turf mat and replaced the insert with this mat here http://en.yuhegolfmats.com/products/..._Mat/1/46.html

They will cut the mat to your specifications and I have been very happy with mine. It was less than $100 and shipping from China was only about 1 week.

It doesn't cause me any pain like the Tartan Turf did to me. It is very forgiving.

I tried contacting them through the website for a custom order, but I think their website is broke and it didn't go through. How did you place your order?

Wow, that turf from China looks interesting. I've never see a turf mat with these 10mm hi-elasticity textile fibers in between the turf and rubber base. Would love to try one to see if it really is forgiving.

I finally ordered the mat a couple of days ago. I'll post a review after I get it.

Just following up to see how you like the new mat? did you get just a hitting surface or a full stance mat that is your hitting mat as well. Any pictures?

So far, for the price I am happy with it. Unfortunately I have been too busy lately to really try it out, so I have been holding off on a full review. I would say it is for sure more forgiving than the Tartan Turf.
