  • Mat choice for the concrete floor

    Hi,
I'm finally planning to move on from net return pro to enclosure. I currently have 6×10 residential golf mat that I used for 2 years. It was placed on top of my carpet, but the backing of the mat where I hit the ball has worn out. Now the mat has a bump on that spot. I'm trying to make my whole room into putting green or something green and maybe keep the hitting mat on top of it.
Which mat is ok to put directly on the concrete or do I need something underneath to protect the mat and keep the concrete vaporization free.
My room is 14×22×9' and would like to use 14×16 as simulator and rest of the room for a small bar and a couch.

I will be ordering fiber built panels 3 of 12"×12" for my hitting area, but I would like to make rest of the room into putting green. Did anybody try this way and swing from the putting green? I may habe to keep my carpet padding to make the green flush to fb panels, but we will see anout that once I receive the panels.

I have narrowed down to a few putting green selections for my 15'x22' room. Trying to only spend <$1000.

$35.35 per Linear foot ($2.36/sq ft)

$67.97 per Linear ft (4.53/sq ft)
TourPutt Ultimate Putting Turf is known as the best putting turf available anywhere - with a 10 year warranty and realistic bent grass look and feel.

      $4.85/sq ft
      https://www.rubberflooringinc.com/pr....html?id=7295#!
      $2.59/sq ft

I think these all come in 15' roll, so I just need to order 22'. Are these greens ok to just put it on the concrete or do I need to purchase subfloor back panel stuff underneath?
Has anyone used these greens for the simulator room?

I put a 5x10 CCE on the concrete and added putting green all around it by shimming a product called DriCore to match the height exactly. Works amazingly.

Which putting green did you go with?
I guess i have to wait until i get fiber built panel to figure out the height of the floor to flush the panels with the green.

            It’s a southwest green I think.

Do you remember how much they charge per sq ft?

I don’t know. It was long ago.

Do you also use that section as a stance mat? If so how is it?

The room is 16 feet wide. I have a 10X5 foot CCE mat and the rest of the room is Green material on top of a sub floor.

I am going to integrate my FB panels into my turf so I can putt off of, or next to the panel (when I install a Uneekor unit). The grass I am going to buy is from the Turf Factory. 15' Wide and 3/4" tall. The integrated pad measures 1/4". Pics below. I did some ball drops and the grass almost fully absorbed the ball. I know I am going to have shim the grass as the FB panel is taller than 3/4".
