I started with a divot action mat and am now using a fiberbuilt. For the divot action, I bought an old range mat from a local range and made a cut out so I could drop it in. It worked pretty good, but after only a couple of months the turf on top of the hitting area started to separate from the plexiglass underneath. I now have the 5'x4' fiberbuilt mat and it is much better in most respects with only a few downsides. First, it is much more forgiving on the body on mishits. The shot results on mishits are also more punishing, much closer to actual turf. The mat is also very heavy so it stays put when i'm swinging. I had to velcro my last mat to the floor to prevent it from shifting over time. The downside is that putting off of the mat is a little weird. I typically don't do much putting when I'm playing sim golf, but when I do it's not as smooth on the fiberbuilt for obvious reasons. That being said, it's not bad. If I were to do more putting I'd probably just get a thin piece of turf and throw it down when needed. The only other downside is placing a tee on the fibers is a little tricky depending on what kind of tee you have. I was using tomahawk tees but it took some balancing to get them to stay. I'm now using these rubber tees that have a more solid bottom and they are very stable so it's not an issue anymore. They're called vorcool rubber winter tees on amazon. I cut all the strings off them by the way. Hope that helps.

Better tees than vorcool IMO. I have both. I have birtee and tomahawk too.

    these work great on fiberbuilt
    yellow one driving tee
    blue is too tall
    white is too short

I drilled a hole where the laser hits and I can stick a 3-1/4" standard tee into it. Works great for me. You can also drill a slightly bigger hole and stick a piece of tubing in it ti hold a shorter tee.

True, I feel the birtee ones and the ones you posted do not give me true ball flight. Might be a mental thing.
