What are my fellow Fiberbuilt mat users doing about this weird drop off when putting?

I feel the experience in sim is diminished when putting on this because of the weird gap at the end of the hitting strip on the 4x5 (1x3) version. Has anyone found a nice pro-tip to fill this in for a smoother putting experience?

How does that work in the 1x3 version - see screen shot in OP? I don't mind a little drop off as I had one with my CCE, but the weird plastic area kicks the ball or holds the ball or pops it into the air. It's liike a weird pocket that I don't understand the design purpose.

I just have the fiberbuilt strip. Stance mat framed by 2x4s then my old cce strips running to screen.

Ohh that’s makes sense. I was going to just build the panels into my CCE but the company is letting me return it less shipping.

I have tons of sample turf from when I ordered the turf for my room. I can ship you some to try or you can reach out to the companies and they will send some samples probably free or for cost of shipping. What kind of measurement do you get from the plastic piece to the top of fiberbuilt pile?

Wow! That’s a lot of samples!!

I’ll have to measure it out tonight. I reached out to FB to see if I could just insert another 1x1 panel but I don’t think that’s feasible with this version of the mat.

I think I’m just going to send back the stance mat portion and cut out a section of the CCE and plop this thing into the cut out.

Seems like a better idea than trying to jimmy rig something to cover that little area.

Can't you just take a hack saw and cut that corner away then buy a couple strips of cce to extend that up to the screen for putting?

I will say, big fan of the Fiberbuilt. Instant difference. Took a bit to get used to after the CCE. It really does feel like hitting off of a premium fairway but still lets you know if you hit it fat. The only thing I noticed is was getting like 12K spin on a few wedges.
