  • Stance mat minimum width

    Hi all,

    I’m waiting for a fiberbuilt strip with 3 panels each is 12x12 = 36”.

I will have it in my livingroom so it has to be portable and i like to keep down width to a minimum to save weight and room.

Is 36” to narrow for an stance mat, i know i dont have my feet that wide even with driver?

I can make the stance mat wider, guess i just want to hear your thoughts on possible cons i have not thought of yet.

It’s for a skytrak and practice on driving range feature only.

    Thanks

    fredrik

I had a mat that 36" wide and it didn't work for me. The problem is the skytrak, it has a small window where the ball has to sit. 36" will be too small for a width to be able to hit driver and irons from the same spot if you have the ball forward in your stance for driver, middle for irons, and slightly back for wedges.

Very good point wbond. Your right foot (if you are righty) would almost be placed on the right edge of the stance mat i guess.

I have material enough to make it 48”.
