  • TrueStrike mat capabilities help

Quick question for the people already using Truestrike mats. I’m thinking of buying the Academy mat set-up.

Issue is I would have to take the two end pieces off one side on a regular, almost daily basis due to something else requiring the flat, shared floor space.

Is this a reasonable ask of the mat? I don’t mind if it the tabs wear out and I need to replace every couple years (residential use). However, I can’t afford to change it say every six months because I’m flat abusing its purpose.

    Looking for opinions.

    Thanks.

I have the Truestrike Portable. The Academy is 136 lbs. These things are heavy duty build quality. The pieces are modular and should detach moderately easily if it is not required to screw them in on bottom after you put them together. Not sure about that as my Portable end pieces had me screw the tabs secure after putting them on. I probably could have not used the screws actually. May not require it for the range mat sections so you could be just be fine.

But if possible I would try to simply stand it up along a wall somewhere instead.

FWIW- My first impression on the hitting section is quite positive.
