I am going to buy the 9x4 golf mat from fiberbuilt, I just had a question for someone who has the hitting strips. I use the Skytrak launch monitor so the tee holes that are to one side of the hitting mat are no good for me. I wanted tee holes in the middle of the strip so that I can use it for driver and not have to move the monitor when switching to irons. I guess my question is are the tee holes in the middle of the strip on the side and are the hitting strips actually 1’x1’? Could I just turn the tile and have the tee hole in the center that way?

You "might" be able to turn the 1x1 strips on their sides but the dovetail/grooves are much smaller on those sides. You typically wedge these together into these dovetails and then bolt them together with a metal angle. I'm not sure how well those small sides will fit together but you could probably make it work.
FWIW I've seen others place the skytrak so that the hole (with a tee) is just on the edge of the hitting area. You should then be able to place a ball next to it for irons without having to move SkyTrak.
Measurement info:
The width side is 12". The length side (where the pieces fit together to form the strip) is closer to 11 7/8". The length edge also has jigsaw cutout so they fit together. This jigsaw piece is 3/8" which means when you fit two edges together you've lost 3/8".
3 pieces:
width = 12"
length = 11 7/8" + 11 4/8" (edge) + 11 4/8" (edge) = 34 7/8"
There will be some deviation because these are hard plastic edges and sometimes the fibers make it hard to get an exact fit edge to edge.Last edited by frodaddy00; 12-29-2019, 03:34 PM.

I've been using these for the last couple weeks and they seem to work really well. 7 inverted cone tees of different lengths, set the one you prefer in the center of the strip to tee off, and then hit your iron shots from the same spot off the FiberBilt surface.

p.s. Some people think the white ones interfere with the read of their SkyTrak, I haven't noticed it myself but you might opt for a non-white set..Last edited by trhuke; 12-29-2019, 06:39 PM.

Thanks for the suggestion, I actually have these tees and they aren’t bad, I just prefer using a regular tee. I have the flight deck by fiberbuilt right now and found I have to feel the ball a couple inches behind the sensor which works perfect because then I hit my irons right off the sensor. Thank you though, I appreciate the suggestion
