    Underlay for artificial putting turf

    Hi all!

Sim build well underway so my attention now is on flooring.

I have chosen putting turf (Ryder pro here in UK from grass247) but not sure what to lay it on?
The garage floor it will go on is flat but not totally smooth concrete so need some form of underlay to flatten it out.

Do I get underlay from what you see on these turf websites or go for interlocking tiles for garages/gyms?

i know I could go down the route of a self levelling mix too but assume you want something underneath the grass?
    Thanks

I used cheap 2' X 2' interlocking tiles I found on Amazon. I went with 1/2" thick so the turf overlay was level with my hitting mat. Works great for my setup.

Some people like the heavy rubber horse stall mats but those are too heavy for me. I went with the exercise tiles above (2x2 foot). You can get almost any thickness you want from 1/8" up to 1". If you plan to cut out a section to insert a piece of hitting turf then do you measuring first to decide how thick you want the exercise foam to make it flush.
