  • Height of Fiberbuilt Practice Station for Skytrak?

I've had the ST for 6 months and thought it worked great. Limited to no misreads and ball flight met expectations. I have a very DIY setup in my garage but functional. Previously, I was using the cover of a box of balls to hold the ST while hitting off one of those mini mats with 3 different strips (see pic). They seemed to be pretty level and the ST worked great so i didnt spend much time thinking about how close they actually were, again It worked great.

I recently switched to a FB Practice station and ST is struggling a bit. Numerous misreads and yardages are actually much longer than before. I know there are 10,000 different things to do and try but I thought I'd start here by asking if anyone using this station has actually measured the height of the ball (and what is the height) what did you use to place the ST on to get it level. Comparing my two setups this is clearly impact full. I've actually started using my old mat + box of balls and it's helped a bit.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks!

You have them both right there.. you can't measure it? Even without any tools just stick a flat piece of cardboard off the edge and match it up by eye.

Buy the Skytrak armor case. It has height adjusting feet.

Did you ever find a solution to this? I'm having the exact same issue. I have a case with legs and when I hit off a flat matt on the ground, skytrak works fine. When I raise the legs to be the same height as the fiberbuilt, I get all kinds of crazy reads - mostly draws / pulls. I even do small chips down the middle and they pull.

Unfortunately not but haven't tried all that hard as I'm laid up with a bad back.....I do have the hard metal case that i plan on trying next. This is making me want to built my own hitting mat with a FB insert.
      Working...
