Green turf to Black?

I am looking for black putting turf. Although I have sourced some suppliers it is significantly more expensive. Has anyone tried to use line marker paint like is used on football fields to paint putting turf. Not sure if it would be durable enough or change the roll of the ball. Any comments would be appreciated.

Just out of curiosity, why are you looking for black putting turf?

Let’s say that was the compromise with the wife when I decided to take up half of our basement space. I have also seen it in a few other set ups and personally like the look. I still have the green fibrebuilt strip.
