  • Fiberbuilt Combo Mat Flooring options

Hello everyone, thinking about using the Fiberbuilt Combo mat for my build in the basement. The floor is concrete and using a Carl's enclosure. Does anyone have recommendations about flooring under this mat? Would I benefit from rubber flooring? For reference, this is the mat I'm referring to. If anyone has any better recommendations, please let me know. Im just putting it all together right now, havent bought it yet. Thanks everyone!

There shouldn't be a need for any flooring underneath of that. It comes with very, very heavy rubber/interlocking base system.

They call it the "exclusive tool-free modular rubber foundation with easy-lock fasteners".

For what it's worth, I'd recommend the double wide hitting area and not necessarily the combo mat unless you're in your forever home or really love the look. I personally don't agree that that area will actually improve one's putting and it's not very useful for simulator since you'd have to move the LM: so it's kinda heavy and expensive for just a flat nice looking area.

Thanks for the recommendation, appreciate the input and I'll definitely consider it before purchasing!

Only additional input would be if you are at all concerned, throw a vapor barrier down underneath the rubber mat to prevent any moisture rising up out of the concrete. But otherwise the base is very solid as previously mentioned.
