  • DivotAction vs FairwayPro vs TrueStrike vs MagStrike vs Something else?

The CCE (pain) and FiberBuilt (encourage fat shots) don't appeal to me. Has anyone tried the DivotAction, FairwayPro, TrueStrike, and MagStrike? I want a mat that is easy on my joints that is also realistic enough to make me swing correctly.

    Justin,

I started with CCE thinking that was the answer and you will find many people say this forum the same thing, elbow and wrist pain rather quickly develops. I went to DivotAction and I have no plans on switching. What I really liked is the ability to change the insert when it gets worn out. A few friends have hit off of my mat and they have added DivotAction into their set ups. No complaints from anyone so far. I started out with the portable option as I was not ready to cut out a mat. I used the CCE as a stance and put the portable next to it as it has a frame that sat under the CCE. From there I went into a cut out and totally redid the flooring and cut out the insert into a 10X16 Turf Factory direct padded nylon. very much pleased with the results.

To be fair, I have not hit off the others so I can't say how the others were reviewed. there are multiple threads about the mats all over this forums. Lots of great advice and reviews. Good Luck.

FB doesn’t encourage fat shots. That’s a swing problem. Hit it fat on FB you get penalized but not injured

Agree 100%, does not encourage fat shots at all.

Agree 100%. FB penalizes shots in terms of distance but not the body. In fact I think a traditional mat encourages fat shots more because you don’t get penalized as much.

How does fiberbuilt encourage fat shots? If you hit the ball first it doesn't matter what that ball sits on. Doesn't your divot outdoors start well after where the ball was positioned?

Is it a swing issue if your divot starts 3 inches behind the ball? I like to blame it on the grass

And is it normal for your divot to sometimes go further than the ball?

Might be a mental issue causing both. Trying to think of a good time for the divot to travel further but I've got nothing wheels

Your forgetting a new player... SwingTurf by Rainorshine golf. I'm interested in that one and the CCE

Many of the high end courses use https://synthetic-turf.com/products/...-greens/eztee/
I am getting a sample to try and will know how it is. It can be cut to any size.

Any update on this product? Are you still happy and pain free with the tee line?

so far it has been great. No pain so far and I have hit quite a few fat shots on it. It is fairly cheap to get a 9x5 piece at around $9 a sq foot
      Working...
