I was originally planning to setup a Mevo+ based sim in my garage, which required an even surface from the launch monitor to the screen (if used for putting as well). For this I planned a 19’x4’ area as seen in the pictures below.
However, I have decided instead to go with a Uneekor based system which doesn’t require an even surface behind the hitting/putting zone. I’m debating to redo the long and narrow 19’x4’ putting zone to a more rectangular ~13’x12’ favoring the right side of my garage. My question to all of you with a larger putting area is, while this is not really needed at all for sim play, do you find having a large area useful for putting practice or for other benefit?
I ask this because while changing configuration is fairly easy, I will need to purchase additional base tiles and putting turf if I go through with the change.
