  • Best hitting mat that can be put away easily

I am new to simulators and setting one up. I would like any advice on a mat that can be moved easily as I will not be able to leave it out between sessions. Thanks.

I plan on purchasing the Fiberbuilt hourglass performance mat for the same reason as you. It says it has a non stick surface as I will be laying it down concrete. I will let you know how it works when I get it. If anyone else has used this mat input would be appreciated.

I lay it directly on my concrete floor and it grips very well. It might shift an inch after hitting for 30 minutes. As far as the material I can’t compare it to anything since this is the first time I’ve consistently been hitting on a mat (4-5 days a week)

Depends on how you want to store it when you move it away.. i have a fiberbuilt 4x7 and am in the middle of building a small base for the mat to sit inside (2 inch tall wood around the edge and a plywood bottom)... and then on one edge i'll have caster wheels, and another edge a handle or two... that way i can lift it up the entire thing on edge and wheel it out of the way and lean it against a wall.
