Can I keep the mat elevated?

I have the Fiberbuilt 3x1 insert, and I put down 1” gym flooring with .5” carpet on top. Originally I was planning to cut into the flooring to have the insert be as flush as possible. But since it’s meant to be a multi-purpose space (got a PS5 for the kiddos etc), and since the insert is fairly light, I’m thinking of just taking it out when I need it. Would this cause problems w my monitor? I have the mevo+

any other considerations?
