  • Is 3x5 mat large enough?

I want to buy Costco's 3x5 Country Club Elite mat for $250, this is the only size they offer. Is 3x5 large enough? I am 5'7".

    Thanks,

I found it too small, I wouldn’t go shorter than 4’

Thanks. The 4x5 is $400 and 5x5 is $500. I might as well go for 5x5 because you can use all 4 sides.

For $400 to $500, are there better mats than Country Club Elite?

Measure out a 3x5 area on the floor and take your stance with a club. Too narrow in my opinion but good to see for yourself.

There are a ton of threads on mats and opinions on CCE, do a search and you should be able to easily decide for yourself on what would fit your needs

After reading countless threads it seems like more members like Fiberbuilt than any other mat brand. I ended up ordering a Fiberbuilt 5' x 4' Single Hitting Performance Mat from Amazon which is $70 less expensive than direct or other retailers. Wow, the 1x3 Fiberbuilt grass replacement mat is $249.

It is fortunate that I didn't go with CCE, I have been hitting lots of balls at the range and my left wrist is a little sore. I am not sure what type of mat they have at the range.

            Thank you.

That may be a good choice for you since it has the hitting strip everyone loves
