  • Fiberbuilt Tee Box vs Hitting Strip

Maybe a bit naive here, but couldn’t find this asked in the search...has anyone done a comparison of the Fiberbuilt tee box vs just using a hitting strip or their traditional/studio mats? Any pros and cons?

Alright I’ll bite, hopefully more can weigh in. I got the strip because I was told that the strip was made of nylon. Upon receiving it, it’s exactly like the flight deck which is made of poly. I did more research and I see the traditional mat is nylon. Definitely confused here.

if someone can post a closeup of their NYLON fiberbuilt mat, it would be much appreciated

Reading thru the forum posts it almost seems like many people have talked about the FB uniform mat, but no reviews...hoping someone has some insight! Merry Christmas!

Not sure if this is helpful, but here are 2 images of my fiberbuilt strip in my sim. The strip is sitting inside my older hitting mat "100% crimped nylon". They are certainly two different materials

What is the hitting mat you had? One of the fiberbuilt ones? Is that the crimped nylon or is the strip?

Has anyone out there bought a fiberbuilt “performance turf tee box” (either rectangular or square)? How does it perform vs the fiberbuilt hitting strip?

I wasn’t going to reply, but noticed the fiberbuilt add stating it prevents injuries. This is not true as I developed terrible golfers elbow in one arm and a mild case in the other. The Divot Action strip with the two matching panels creates a 12”x46” strip that is far superior. I’ve hit from it for six strait days with absolutely no golfers elbow symptoms. There is none of the grabbing and twisting that one experiences on the broom strip fiberbuilt that my wife for two years refused to use because of that unnatural action. Buy any old mat and cut a strip in it for the Divot Action, false advertising ticks me off.

I’m curious on this since others seem to swear by FB and avoiding injuries, is it something with your swing that hit the FB mat weird. Like are you really steep (like me) vs others who like FB are more shallow? I’ve hit off FB at indoor ranges and never had an issue really but obviously not as much use as I will be getting!
