Fiberbuilt stance Matt vs build your own

I was looking at the fiberbuilt mats they sell or buy seven for around $1000 if I bought a fibre built insert and build around it with some cheap turf and what night would that basically be the same thing like what would I be missing is what I’m trying to figure out by building it myself I was just gonna get some cheap turf cut out the middle and add a fibre build insert and I guess I’d have to put this on a plywood or something to get all level as the fiberbuilt is thicker than the turf

Or would this be a waste of my time and what looks like about $400 of material

I have a rukket folding hitting mat it’s really small and has 3 different surfaces the middle one is as close to real grass that I have seen it’s amazing it doesn’t catch I may get this instead of the fiberbuilt
