    Artificial turf around hitting mat

I want something between my hitting mat and screen that is flush with the mat for smooth sim putting. Also behind the hitting mat for level plane for Mevo+. Am considering putting Green turf on multiple layers of carpet padding, any ideas would be great

what are you using for a hitting mat? Whatever you do, you will likely need to build some form of sub floor

I built my floor up with plywood and horse stall mats then laid TFD 36 over it. I needed to get to 1.75 inches to be flush with the Fiberbuilt insert. Works great and the TFD rolls nicely!
Check out our 36oz nylon turf for your indoor and outdoor facility. If you are looking for turf to cover your putting green, look no further, this heavy-weight product will bring an authentic and sturdy environment to your golf course.

Cheeselog8 The turf looks nice. Does the turf have an underpayment that could absorb shots coming off the net, some here call it landing turf. Looking to avoid using two laters such as turf over exercise mats. Also I see pile height is shown as 3/8”, is that the overall height?

There is not any padded backing on this turf but they do sell one with 5 mm padding. The rep I talked to suggested to go with no padding if being used as a putting green. Yes total height is 3/8". I put mine directly over horse stall mats I got at Tractor Supply and don't have an issue with bounce coming off the impact screen.

I bought a 12' x 13' section of turf from iCustomRug on Amazon and have been very happy with it. The description says 1.25" pile height, but the 'grass blades' lay pretty flat, so I needed a 1" floor underneath to bring it level with my 1.25" hitting surface. I'd highly recommend this if you can do it; my hitting mat moved around a bit before I inlaid it.

Putts roll a little slow on it (probably not as nice as the TFD 36 @Cheeslog8 used), but I've gotten used to it. Looks like the TFD 36 currently costs less per SF also...
