Has anyone used Tee Line Turf instead of a strike mat? I can't seem to find any posts regarding this. I like the look of it - no cut out insert, and you can insert tees into the turf. I think it is primarily used at driving ranges. Just wondering if anyone has any experience and info on this product. It seems like it has great wear but I wonder about impact to the wrists and elbows?

Putting actual tees in the mat is not ideal for an indoor sim. U end up with broken or flying tees all over. Most here use plastic tees such as Tomahawk/Birtee with a retaining tee such as Tee claw. Google both or search here for more details

Most people do seem to use the birtee or whatevers. I had been doing the same but recently switched to using real tees since my mat can take them. I use plastic tees and they don't break. As far as having them fly all over, they generally tend to gather in the same area as the balls do near the foot of the screen. So every 4-5 holes when I go up to the screen to gather some balls I just pick up the tees as well.

Parent company is STI (Synthetic Turf International). Ian has mentioned it a few times during their live videos. "EZTee Hybrid Plus"Originally posted by sgp2204 View Post
I've always wondered what they hit from. Such a clean setup.

I purchased a 5'x5' of Tee Line turf from Dean in Calgary. I like it - takes a real tee (I typically use Birtees although the option is nice). I don't have a super steep swing but I haven't experienced any wrist or elbow pain, which is strange because my elbow was a mess in the summer when I was playing real golf. It is very think but no padding at the bottom, which is okay because the turf is so thick.

I'm in Calgary as well, would you mind sending me Dean's contact info?Originally posted by JayJo13 View PostI purchased a 5'x5' of Tee Line turf from Dean in Calgary. I have a 6 x 10 ft piece of the EZ Tee Hybrid as the hitting area for my simulator and I think it’s great. It’s what Trackman uses for its custom simulator installs, along with STI’s putting and “fringe” turfs which are also great. Super clean look. Fat shots are fat (slow the club, diminish ball speed and reduce distance) without being jarring on the elbows. Used daily for about 10 months now. We use Birtees because wood or plastic tees placed into the turf will release after impact just like on a course, but within the confines of the sim they can on occasion fly around the room like projectiles.

That room is awesome. What are the dimensions?

The sim is in my back garage, which measures 29 x 18 ft with 10 ft ceiling. More pics here: https://golfsimulatorforum.com/forum...kman-sim-build
The EZTee hybrid turf and putting turf have significant differences in thickness, so putting black rubber gym tiles under the putting turf section "raises" it almost perfectly to the level of the EZTee hybrid turf.
I haven't hit off of Fiberbuilt or Divot-action, but I think the EZTee hybrid looks great as a single, homogenous large hitting section and it "feels" proper at impact and is durable.

coolbreeze whats is ther turf model you used around the hitting mat?

I have an artificial grass down with the tee-line hitting mat sitting on top of it. I didn't cut it out and insert the tee-line - just have it sitting on top. Works out pretty good, as I can slide the hitting mat off the turf to practice putting if I want.1 Photo
