My son practices 3-5 hours per day on the simulator. I was starting to worry about him injuring himself with the mats we currently own (foresight mat or CCE strip). After reading the reviews in this forum I decided to try the Quattro. I picked it up today and all I can say is WOW, what a difference! I haven't tried the Fiberbuilt mat which was my second choice but the Quattro is fantastic.
The feel is very close to hitting off an actual fairway. It still punishes you for hitting fat shots but its not as "grabby" as the mats I own. Everything, everybody said about it being easier on your joints is TRUE.
The Quattro is 59"x59" (1 1/4" thick) and can be rotated to use all 4 sides. The only con is that it doesn't support a real tee and you have to use rubber tee holder. The rubber tee holder sits flush in the mat's pre drilled holes and allows you to use real tees. It wasn't as bad to use as I thought it would be. My son actually likes it better because he can adjust the height of the tee to exactly where he needs it to be. (I like that I don't have to cut tees down 1/4" for him anymore)
I will post more on the Quattro after the Ontario Lockdown ends and my older friends have tried it as well.
We played 2 rounds today from around 6700yds and he smoked me both times. ( -4, -6 to my +3, +9) I'll get him tomorrow!! lol
