As I’ve posted before, seems like I’m on a permanent rotation between FB, DA and Quattro hitting strips...with the Quattro mostly used for Driver practice. Why? I tee higher than a tomahawk or birdtee allows.
I’ve cut a second Quattro strip down to the size of a DA insert for easy swapping. The tee hole is right where I want/need it for my room’s size (the FB hole is not).
Got me thinking, has anybody drilled a tee hole in a Divot Action? Special bit for plexi, I assume. But what about cracking at the hole after many impacts? Any feedback?
Lastly, my #1 complaint about the Divot Action was the noise...just seems louder than others at impact. I cut some 1/4” thick stick on foam rectangles and placed them on the underside of the plexi, where the spring clips impact while “divoting”. Seems to have helped noise level a bit and the action is still the same. 👍🏼
