Just can’t pull the trigger on a Mat

I have done research upon research on mats and just can’t figure out which one to buy. I’m hitting in my garage so I need for whatever mat I get to be somewhat portable that I can move out of the way. I’m using a FS Mevo Plus. I am a 4 handicap and in my better days I was a +1. This is what I have heard / found out .

CCE: great durability , can be moved easy, punishes the body and causes injury.

True Strike: great feel, non portable big and bulky very hard to putt off of.

Divot Action: great feel , great numbers with Mevo plus, portable, not to sure about durability. Cant find to much info about them on sites or YouTube.

I came across one yesterday called monster mat it seemed very intriguing.


Anyone have any opinions or other brands to look at??? I really need to get one ordered. The closest I have been to ordering one is the Divot action.

The right answer is the Quattro Mat. Don't consider anything else. That's my 2 cents, which is priceless.

I have the Quattro, and it is too soft if you are standing on it. Maybe as a hitting strip it would be fine. The mega mat may be a better option, but Wittek talked me into the Quattro.

I'm trying to decide the same thing. I talked with Par 2 Pro and they recommend the CCE, but I have a steep swing and I'm worried about injuries too and it has tons of negative reviews. I do like that it's less expense (1/2 the price), takes a tee and both right and left players can use the same mat. I've been looking at Fiberbuilt, I currently have the flight deck and it's been good, but I want a more permanent hitting mat. Has anyone tried the new Fiberbuilt Preferred Series? It looks good, but pricy.

I purchased the HD Softstrike Mat. I have had it for about a year and have had zero issues with sore hands, elbows, etc...i have it recessed between 2 stance mats...I would highly recom'd this hitting mat.
