  • Holy Grail First Impressions

When I built my sim this spring, I bought a Quattro. I've had hand pain the entire time. I have been a bit slow to do something about it because mats are so expensive and I don't know the problem will be solved even when I do make the additional investment. Then I realized I could use the quattro for a stance mat and get a hitting strip. I have been examining my options. When I saw the Holy Grail with the option to cut it into the quattro, I was intrigued. By it's being in the quattro, maybe I wouldn't have to drill holes in the slab to mount it.

I ordered the Holy Grail this week and it arrived the next day. Remarkable service. This morning, I installed it in the quattro. See photo. Based on the first few shots, I think my hand pain will soon be history. It's entirely different and more realistic, and pain doesn't radiate through my knuckles on a fat shot. So far, so good. Ultimately, time will tell.

It will be gone soon. Long story short....

Started my first sim 4 years ago with the CCE. Hand/wrist and elbow pain become a thing for the first time in my life a few weeks after hitting balls. Switched to a divot action and never had the pain again.

Looking at the Holy Grail for my current build.

I have a Quattro, is the depth (thickness) the same on each or did you have to add to the either mat so that they both sit even? The depth of the strip is not listed on the GungHo website and they don't respond to my emails. Thanks!

I’m sure they’ll get back to you or even respond in this topic, Ron and staff are awesome at following up, but I think it’s 1-3/8”. The description says it’s meant to be installed with putting turf that’s been raised up 1” and they use turf that is 3/8” thick according to the turf description.

I’m definitely going with the Holy Grail once I finally get my build moving. Bought the launch monitor, but am basically just starting to collect materials for the build.
