I need to buy a mat to be used in a room that has padded carpet. I'm concerned about the mat sliding around and possibly not feeling firm enough under my feet as it seems most mats were designed to be used on hard floors. I'm thinking that I would need to buy a mat with one of those heavy black frames around it like a Fiberbuilt. However, I would like to save some money and just get a Monster Tee roll-up type mat. If anyone has any experience with a mat used on padded carpet, I would like to hear your opinion and experience. Thanks.

The mat will definitely slide. You might try to get the kind of material they use on the bottom of mechanics tool boxes to put in between. Not sure if it will work or not. -
I have a Truestrike mat set up on padded carpet now that moves very little ( half sits on carpet and half on turf). I should have some pics posted in the sim area (I have two sets, one from in my garage and another from my recent move to my new area where there is carpet).Comment
