  • Ramp to Cover Screen Bottom?

So, between the Unistrut, bungees, and screen trim on the bottom of my screen, I'm going to have about 5"-8" to cover. I can accomplish that with a foam bumper that will look quite nice, but I believe I've seen others who have ramped up their flooring between their hitting mat and their screen so that their flooring "thickness" at the screen is several inches higher than their flooring thickness at their mat (in my case, it would have to go from 1-3/4" thick at my mat to 5"-8" at the screen).

If you have done this, how did you do it?

    I made two ramps 8ft + 6ft , both 4 ft wide slope 5" to 1.5"

To make it i used 2x6 @4' and made diagonal cuts on a table saw using a custom made template. The ramp itself is the 1/2 inch OSB from Home Depot ($18) The diagonal short height + OSB width calculated to match my rubber mat height (1.5 inch) .

I glued and clamped the diagonal cuts to the OSB then after dried used 1.25 inch wood screws from the ramp side OSB.

I will lay artificial putting turf over the ramp down onto the mats.

This is the same setup that we went with. We made ours in 3' sections so we could move them if needed.

Is that an inverter for solar power in the background? Otherwise, you must have one hell of a garage door opener to need that disconnect!
