Truestrike turf replacement options for Gel Section

Has anyone replaced the TrueStrike gel section turf with something better than stock panels they provide? Any insight would be appreciated. I find it wears down fast and causes indentions after a few sessions where I have to switch around.

I've tried a few things. The problem with TrueStrike turf is that it's so thin, whatever is under the turf just gets beat up pretty badly. Foam tiles seemed to hold up the best, but the turf itself just wears down and rips and all the grass fibers fall out. It's fine if you don't hit that many balls or you're a sweeper, but if you're a heavy user or hit down, not a good option at all.
